We are looking for a proficient R user to join our Customer Success team in Chicago. This is an opportunity for a data analyst or researcher who is looking for a change in career, but who is still keen to put their skills to good use. The person in this role will be responsible for providing technical support and training for our users, and creating content to help them learn and succeed.

About the Job

The person in this role will be responsible for supporting Data Scientists and Market Researchers in the use of our app Displayr (www.displayr.com), and creating content to help people get more value out of our software.

Reporting to the Head of Customer Success (based in Sydney, Australia), the successful candidate’s time will be split across the following:

  • Providing technical support for Displayr, which involves creative problem solving using R and other tools.
  • Creating content to support the software (e.g. webinars, blog posts, and technical documentation).
  • Customized software demonstrations for prospective customers. This will be done primarily through web meetings.
  • Training customers in the use of our apps. This will be done primarily through web meetings.
  • Conducting usability tests.

About You

Essential:

  • Strong ability in managing and wrangling data using R.
  • Two years’ experience analyzing data and creating data visualizations in a commercial environment.
  • Passion for helping people to learn technical skills/programming.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Based in Chicago with full working rights. Relocation will not be offered on this occasion.

Desirable:

  • Experience doing machine learning or statistics using R.
  • Experience building dashboards.
  • Experience with R Shiny.
  • Experience with usability/user experience testing.
  • Postgraduate qualification.
  • Experience presenting to customers and prospects via Webex or alternative web based meeting platform.
  • Experience in training, such as training new users of technology, training people on replacing existing technology/processes with new processes.
